How does your bilingual After-School German language program differ from purely recreational after-school programs?
We are the only bilingual After-School program accredited by the New York State Board of Regents, offering K-10th grade classes. We give exams resulting in a recognized diploma: students graduate with the NY FLAC exam (Regents Equivalency Exam), which is the equivalent of three years of High School German. We also write As and B1 exams and offer the Advanced Placement exam in German. Our structured curriculum and assessment instruments are the backbone of our academic standards.
Who is your clientele?
Parents who believe that knowing a second or third foreign language will be an asset to their child’s intellectual development.. Parents who appreciate an articulated curriculum leading to graduation with recognized diplomas.
Who are your teachers?
Native Germans and US educated speakers of German. Most have been with us for many years.
Are you funded by any religious or political groups?
No. Our only mission is to teach German language and culture. Our language programs are tailored to a diverse and multicultural clientele and have neither religious nor political affiliation.
